The Calgary Lynx beat the Scranton Supernovas, 4-3, at Lynx Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Gerardo Ponce de Leon, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Calgary reliever Ricardo Covarrubias got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Butch Cummings was tagged with the loss. Calgary is now 12-22.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Ponce de Leon hit a fastball from Butch Cummings for a run-scoring single. The Lynx, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Ponce de Leon said.
