The Scranton Supernovas took Tortolita pitcher Risto Hannila's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Drummers Ballpark. The final score had Scranton getting past the Drummers, 9-5. Hannila went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 2. Butch Cummings earned the save, his 1st. With the win, Scranton goes to 18-15, while the Drummers fall to 15-18.

Scranton used the timely hitting of José Ortega to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Supernovas on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It feels good to get this one," Ortega told the Scranton Herald.
