The Tortolita Drummers did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Scranton Supernovas at Drummers Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Shigochiyo Tanaka, who captured player of the game honors. Tortolita is now 15-16, Scranton 16-15.
Ken Moore drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances. He drove in 2 runs for Tortolita. The 31-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Robert Smith. It was his 9th walk of the season.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Tanaka.
