Drummers Get One-Run Win at Sunset District
|
The Tortolita Drummers handed the Sunset District Fog a loss at Fog Park. The final score was 6-5. John Wilder was named player of the game for Tortolita. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Gojong Joseon, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The 7th-place Drummers have won 5 consecutive games.
Wilder contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Tortolita in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 5-4, Wilder took a fastball from Carlos Arreola and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Drummers to leap in front, 6-5.
