Loss to Halberds Extends Calgary Losing Streak
|
The Alloway Halberds defeated the Calgary Lynx, 5-3, at Lynx Stadium today. Leading the charge for Alloway was left fielder Juan Jimínez. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho finished the game for Alloway and earned his 5th save. The Lynx, now 7-21, have lost 8 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Alloway, had it not been for Pat Kramer, the 26-year old center fielder . Kramer contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Alloway up, 5-3.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Jimínez.
