Men Come Up Short at Sunset District
The Sunset District Fog scored a 6-5 win versus the Florida Men at Fog Park. Sunset District pitcher Nicholas Finn nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Finn went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-2. Carlos Arreola got credit for the save for Sunset District. It was his 5th of the year.

The Men had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Fog going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the top prospect Eustacio Tafalla came to the plate. Tafalla hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 changeup from Florida hurler Roy Bell. It was Tafalla's 3rd double of the year.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Tafalla. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."

The win puts the Fog at 14-9, while the Men drop to 12-11.
