Multi-HR Day for McLambroch as Silver Sox Overpower Shredders, 7-4
|
Silver Sox designated hitter Larry McLambroch put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Hollywood Shredders. McLambroch hit 2 home runs for Chicago in the contest. Shang-de Fu closed the game out for Chicago, earning his 10th save. The Silver Sox now have a mark of 24-30.
Chicago used a timely hit from Melvin Thomas to get the win. The third baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Silver Sox on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Thomas told the Chicago Times.
