Getting a good performance from first baseman Dam Son, the Scranton Supernovas defeated the Florida Men, 8-5. Son was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Supernovas. Gonzalo Hernández, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 2-0. Getting the save was Ales Kretky, his 6th.

Tim Gonzáles had a big 2-run single for the Supernovas in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Scranton leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Pancho Covarrubias and stroked the single to right. It was his 10th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Supernovas ahead, 4-1.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Son told the Scranton Herald.
