Longnecks Pick Up 12-5 Win
|
Bloomington catcher Carlos Sánchez had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 12-5 win over the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes. The win was credited to Salvador Sagastizabal in relief. His record improves to 4-7. Tom McKee took the loss. Bloomington is now 56-43, Santa Barbara 58-41.
Sánchez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Bloomington in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Sánchez took a changeup from Tom McKee and stroked the home run to center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Longnecks to leap in front, 3-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Sánchez told the Bloomington Daily.
