Baton Rouge right fielder Stephen Goldobenko played a vital role in his team's 6-5 triumph over Port Royal. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Baton Rouge. The save was credited to David Flowers, his 19th. Baton Rouge is now 48-51, while Port Royal is 51-48.
Goldobenko had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Brass went on to win.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Port Royal manager Harris Bailey. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
