Pitcher Scott Thompson was sensational for the Tortolita Drummers in his team's 9-1 triumph over the Scranton Supernovas. Thompson received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The winning pitcher was Thompson, now 1-1. He tossed 7 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2. With the loss, Scranton falls to 8-4.
Tso-i Wang put Tortolita in front, 4-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Artie Best in the top of the third. It was his 1st home run of the season.
Wang told a Tortolita Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
