The Men grabbed a win, 3-1, at Psychos Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Alloway pitcher Jack Joyner. Joyner went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Florida reliever Ipe de Deugd picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alex Calhoun absorbed the loss. The Men, now 4-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Had Jeff Mouton not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Mouton hit a 2-run double. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Men.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Alloway skipper Jack Clayton, "and it cost us."
