The Port Royal Disaster beat the Bloomington Longnecks, 5-2, at Lookouts Ballpark. The Disaster got a fine performance from first baseman Michael Brannon, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Port Royal has now won 3 in a row.

Brannon came through with some timely hitting for Port Royal. With the score 1-1 in the top of the third and two down, Brannon hit a first pitch fastball for a grand slam home run. His 8th home run of the season made it 5-1, Port Royal.

Brannon told a Port Royal Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
