The Texas Bronze Sox beat the Bloomington Longnecks, 7-6 at Bronze Sox Park, in part due to left fielder Jeff Reed, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Shusaku Kobayashi, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed 5 runs on 10 hits in 6 innings. Kliment Spirk picked up the save for Texas, his 8th of the year.

Texas took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jayden Laming stroked a 2-run double to make it 5-3, Bronze Sox.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Reed, "but we got it done."

The 9th-place Bronze Sox improved to 19-53.
