Boston Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at The Hollywood Bowl, knocking off the Boston Patriots, 2-0. Starting pitcher Matthew Fallows was an essential part of his team's success. Fallows, now 4-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing no earned runs. Hollywood has now won 4 straight.

The Patriots had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Shredders going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick James Hemwick came to the plate. Hemwick hit a solo home run on a 1-1 fastball from Boston hurler Aldo Ottens. It was Hemwick's 4th home run of the year.

Fallows said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
