Golden Cranes Topple Disaster, 5-2

It was a good time at Crane Field, where fans came to watch the Port Royal Disaster and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes get after it.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 23-year old first baseman Braxton Cottongame, the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes stopped the Port Royal Disaster, 5-2. Arturo Guerrero got the win, improving to 11-2. He held the Disaster to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1.
Cottongame made an early impact for Santa Barbara when he stroked his 16th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the bottom of the first, put the Golden Cranes on top, 4-0.
"I like our moxie," said Golden Cranes manager Will Thomas.
Santa Barbara, at 43-22, sits in second place in the Premier AAA.
