In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Biloxi Shuckers beat the Yakima Hops, 8-4, at Hops Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Steve Marwat, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Biloxi's record now stands at 14-16, placing them 6th in the Silver AA.

With Biloxi leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Marwat hit a 2-run home run off Yakima hurler Mario Herrera. It was the 2nd home run of the season for Marwat and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"I just love going out and having a big game," Marwat said when asked about being named player of the game. "It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
