Evergreens Lose to Patriots, 6-4
|
The Portland Evergreens got a superb performance from first baseman Billy Dotson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Boston. The Patriots won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Dotson was named the player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Boston, at 33-15, occupies first place in the Premier League.
With one out in the top of the third, Edward Sterrenburg barreled up a sinker from Clarence Jones. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Patriots in front, 5-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
