Redlegs Pin 4-3 Loss on Bronze Sox

The Sacramento Redlegs faced a tough opponent in Texas pitcher Van Lapointe, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Sacramento Sanitation Station by a final score of 4-3. Lapointe went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Earning his 1st save of the year was Hwa-pyung Yi. With the win, Sacramento goes to 26-33, while the Bronze Sox fall to 16-43.
Had Gabriel Anaya not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Anaya hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Redlegs.
"It was a solid team effort," said Anaya after the game.
