The Minnesota Loons knocked off the Virginia Beach Whales, 7-3, at Loony Bin. Paul Sanders, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Minnesota won. The third baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Virginia Beach has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Minnesota grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Abraham In de Boomgaert delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Loons.
