Starks Lose Again, 7-4, to Golden Cranes
Syracuse catcher Graeme Dormer had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Dormer went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Santa Barbara beat the Starks, 7-4. Dormer was named the player of the game despite the loss. Takejiro Masuda earned his 14th save in 18 tries. Santa Barbara has now won 3 straight, while the Starks have lost 6 in a row.

Santa Barbara grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ed St. James delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 5-4 in favor of the Golden Cranes.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Syracuse manager Kenny Billings.
