The Baton Rouge Brass and Bloomington Longnecks obliged those fans who came to Brass Field hoping for an exciting game.

Baton Rouge withstood an impressive performance by Bloomington shortstop Clay Myers to defeat the Longnecks, 10-9, at Brass Field. Myers went 1 for 2 with a double and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Baton Rouge is 25-29 and Bloomington, with the loss, 34-20.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 9-9, pinch hitter Tomislav Jovovich won it for Baton Rouge. With the bases loaded, Jovovich hit a first pitch fastball from Ron Mingo for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 10-9 win.

"Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good," said Jovovich.
