Disaster Deal Golden Cranes Painful Loss
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes got a superb performance from pitcher Abraham van der Meulen, but the Port Royal Disaster still won the game, 4-3. van der Meulen was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Port Royal reliever Felipe Deleón picked up the win to move to 3-1. Jim Perry suffered the loss. Port Royal has a 3-game win streak, while Santa Barbara has lost 3 in a row.

The Disaster were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Michael Brannon turned a first pitch sinker from Jim Perry into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Port Royal a thrilling 4-3 win.

Brannon told a Port Royal Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
