White Walkers Knock Off Silver Sox, 8-6
|
The Buffalo White Walkers defeated the Chicago Silver Sox, 8-6, at Beyond the Wall today. Leading the charge for Buffalo was second baseman Max Bortenschlager. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dave Dunn, credited with the win, is now 4-3. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 6.1 innings. Getting the save was Woodward Haberdash, his 1st.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fourth, with the game tied, Jorge Herrera was at the plate when Buffalo scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the White Walkers to go in front, 1-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Bortenschlager said after the game.
At 25-22, the White Walkers find themselves in third place in the Premier League.
