Starks Need Extras to Top Bronze Sox
The Syracuse Starks did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Texas Bronze Sox at Bronze Sox Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Rémi Ribeiro, who captured player of the game honors. Syracuse reliever Austin Bizzle was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Chris Douglas took the loss for Texas. Syracuse currently is in last place in the Premier AAA at 10-40.

Chip Mullaney had the most critical at-bat for Syracuse. With no one in the top of the 14th inning, Mullaney hit a 0-1 slider from Chris Douglas for a run-scoring single. It put Syracuse in front, 3-2.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Kenny Billings, the Syracuse skipper.
