Starks Come Back Late to Top Bronze Sox

Mare Riseley made an impact in the 6-4 Syracuse win over Texas. Riseley, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in hits with 62, was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Syracuse reliever Christiaan Volkers was the winner. His record is now 1-4. Kliment Spirk took the loss. Tony Wolfe closed it out for his 5th save.
Riseley had a game-changing single in the top of the ninth. On a 0-2 sinker from Kliment Spirk, he banged a 2-run single to left, giving the Starks a 6-4 lead. It was the 62nd hit of the year for Riseley.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Starks manager Kenny Billings. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
The Starks saw their record improve to 9-40.
