The Casper Ghosts trumped the Virginia Beach Whales, 5-4, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Casper right fielder Blaine Callahan was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Norberto Huerta picked up the save for Casper, his 6th of the year. The 7th-place Ghosts raised their record to 10-13.
The result might have been different for Casper, had it not been for Teok-kyu Pak. The second baseman produced a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 5-4. For the game, Pak had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
