Swartwood Goes Wild, But Redlegs Win
|
Texas shortstop Breanainn Swartwood had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Swartwood was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once, even as Sacramento beat the Bronze Sox, 7-6. Swartwood was named the player of the game despite the loss. WyDale Curry closed the game out for Sacramento, earning his 5th save. At 19-26, the Redlegs find themselves in 8th place in the Premier AAA.
Quinn Albracht drove in one run for Sacramento. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Kevin Maughan. It was his 29th RBI of the season.
"I know we have our doubters," said Texas manager Wynn Burton. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
