Sonics Turn Back Biloxi, 4-3
|
Atlantic City beat Biloxi on the strength of starter Albert Karlier's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. José González got credit for the save for Atlantic City. It was his 3rd of the year. The Sonics, now 14-6, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Atlantic City used the timely hitting of Rickey Ritter to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Sonics ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ritter, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
