The Loons had to overcome a fine effort from Atlantic City pitcher Heath Brown to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Sonics Ballpark. Brown went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Reliever Haweeyo Nasteexo picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Einar Engberg took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Sonics, who are now 13-5.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of Elroy Hartman to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Loons on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Hartman told the Minnesota Times. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
