Sinclair Bothof added some punch to the Bloomington offense, helping them outmuscle the Baton Rouge Brass, 9-8. In the game, Bothof was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Omara Moctar, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. Domingo Montémayor earned the save for Bloomington, his 2nd of the year.

Bloomington took a 9-8 lead on Wayne Noble's 19th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Noble hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Baton Rouge pitcher Rafael Bernal visibly frustrated.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Noble told the Bloomington Daily.

The win puts the Longnecks at 21-15, while the Brass drop to 16-20.
