Sacramento got a terrific game from designated hitter Yao-pang Chiang. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Port Royal, 6-5. Chiang was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Port Royal reliever Joe Louter picked up the win to move to 3-2. Hwa-pyung Yi suffered the loss. The 6th-place Disaster raised their record to 18-16.

Port Royal took a 6-5 lead on Luis Benítez's 10th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Benítez hit in the bottom of the 13th, left Sacramento pitcher Julius Spry visibly frustrated.

"It feels good to get this one," Benítez told the Port Royal Gazette.
