Starks Fall Short at Sacramento
|
The Sacramento Redlegs beat the Syracuse Starks, 8-7 at Sacramento Sanitation Station, in part due to second baseman Quinn Albracht, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a triple and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs. Sacramento reliever Dan Horan was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Austin Bizzle took the loss. With the win, Sacramento goes to 13-19, while the Starks fall to 7-25.
Sacramento grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Chico Custardoi delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 8-7 in favor of the Redlegs.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Custardoi.
