Victory Over Bronze Sox Takes Jersey City to 19-11
The Jersey City Tritons grabbed a 13-7 win over the Texas Bronze Sox at Jersey City Grounds. Jersey City center fielder Tolenka Kafengauz went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. Jersey City reliever Raúl Romero picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Van Lapointe shouldered the loss. The Bronze Sox, now 9-21, have lost 5 in a row.

Kafengauz made an early impact for Jersey City when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Tritons on top, 5-0.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Jersey City manager John McGrath.
