The Jersey City Tritons did just enough to sneak past the Texas Bronze Sox, 3-2, at Jersey City Grounds. Jersey City pitcher Jeff Enamorado earned player of the game honors. Enamorado, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Texas has now lost 4 in a row.
Had Xiao-yong Huang not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Huang hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Tritons.
