|
Las Vegas got a terrific performance from pitcher Nam-shik Kwak, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Patriots. Boston won the Dunkin Donuts Park contest, 4-3. Kwak was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Boston reliever Sam Mooney was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Morris Prinkey took the loss. The Patriots have an impressive 29-14 record.
Juan Andrés Martí was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Patriots third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Martí told the Boston Daily.
