Humpbacks Topple Longnecks, 6-3

The Alaskan Humpbacks defeated the Bloomington Longnecks, 6-3, at Lookouts Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Alaskan was shortstop Abel Risinger. He was 2-2 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Ramón Costello earned the save, his 1st, for the Humpbacks. The Humpbacks now have a record of 14-12 with the win over Bloomington.
Alaskan used the clutch hitting of António Macías to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Humpbacks ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Risinger told the Alaskan Times.
