The Virginia Beach Whales finished things off in style today at Virginia Beach Grounds.

The Virginia Beach Whales did just enough to sneak past the Biloxi Shuckers, 3-2, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Virginia Beach pitcher Miguel Núñez earned player of the game honors. The win pushes Virginia Beach to a record of 4-5.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 2-2, left fielder Alfonso Cabedo won it for Virginia Beach. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Cabedo hit a 0-1 fastball from Chao Khu for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 3-2 win.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Cabedo said.
