Farmers Deal Blue Sox Painful Loss
The Lancaster Farmers grabbed a 4-3 win over the Irving Blue Sox at Farmers Field. Lancaster left fielder Todd Strachota was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Reliever Rainer Letroit picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Rich Young took the loss. At 6-3, the Farmers have played well so far.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With no one out, Strachota hit a curveball from Rich Young for a solo home run. The Farmers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This game tested our mettle," said Strachota.
