Multi-HR Game for Cottongame in 4-1 Win
A 3-RBI performance from first baseman Braxton Cottongame led the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes to a 4-1 win over the Sacramento Redlegs. The winner was Rust Cohle, who threw 87 pitches over 5.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 3 hits. Takejiro Masuda earned his 5th save in 6 tries.

Cottongame contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Santa Barbara in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Cottongame took a fastball from Gustavo Molina and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Golden Cranes to leap in front, 2-1.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Santa Barbara manager Will Thomas.

Santa Barbara, now 12-4, is playing great baseball to start the year.
