Brendle Helps Minnesota Outscore Yakima
A 5-RBI performance from center fielder Robbie Brendle led the Minnesota Loons to a 13-10 win over the Yakima Hops. Minnesota reliever Pao-tzu Shi was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Damon Sargent took the loss for Yakima. Terry Lesage closed the door for Minnesota, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Minnesota took a 10-7 lead on Brendle's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Logan Barker in the top of the seventh, propelled Minnesota to the win.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Minnesota manager Rafael Clemente.

With the win, Minnesota goes to 2-2.
