Longnecks Sneak Past Redlegs, 4-3
|
The Sacramento Redlegs got a superb performance from pitcher Korbin Dallas. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bloomington. The Longnecks won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Dallas was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings allowing 3 runs. César González got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4 innings. Juan Sánchez nailed down his 1st save.
Bloomington used the timely hitting of Sean Cox to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Longnecks on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We did enough to win," said Cox.
With the loss, Sacramento falls to 2-6.
