Santa Barbara Golden Cranes starter Ira Hipps was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Texas Bronze Sox, 4-2. Won-u Yi locked down his 1st save. The Golden Cranes, now 3-0, have been playing some good baseball.

It could have been a different outcome for Santa Barbara, had it not been for Samual Kingman, the 23-year old shortstop . Kingman contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Santa Barbara up, 3-1.

"It's a mindset," said Hipps. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
