Dog Park in Ellenburg was the site of a competitive game between the Milton Dogfish Head and Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds.

The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds picked up a win at Dog Park in Ellenburg, knocking off the Milton Dogfish Head, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jason Huggins played a key role in the triumph. Huggins, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Mike Tate notched his 13th save in 14 chances.

The Fighting Dachsunds got a big at-bat from third baseman Alexander Conley. For the game, Conley went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Ellenburg a 4-1 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Conley. "And not try to do too much."

The Fighting Dachsunds bumped their record to 53-48 with this latest triumph.
