84s Lose to Shredders in Walk Off

The Hollywood Shredders electrified The Hollywood Bowl with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Hollywood Shredders did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Greenville 84s at The Hollywood Bowl. Nobody did more than pitcher Matthew Fallows, who captured player of the game honors. Hollywood reliever Cullen Taylor picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Liam Thomson absorbed the loss.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Takeshi Kovacs came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Greenville pitcher Liam Thomson, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Hollywood on top, 4-3.
"We did enough to win," said Kovacs.
The loss drops Greenville to 0-4.
