Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Red Pandas
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Austin Black Mambas, 6-5, at The Bamboo Forest. Sioux Falls first baseman Sergio Vásquez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 7 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Red Pandas, at 36-21, lead by one game in their division.
Late in the game, second baseman Norm Chodorow had a big at-bat for Sioux Falls. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single off Shawn Coleman. The play gave the Red Pandas a 6-5 lead.
"This place was rocking at the end," Chodorow said.
