Fighting Dachsunds Come Back Late to Clip Pride
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds got a stellar performance from pitcher Shihab bin Salim, who handcuffed the Hartford offense en route to a 5-1 win at Pride Park. The save went to Mike Tate, his 3rd this season. Ellenburg has now won 4 straight.
Roberto Reyes hit a run-scoring double off Neal Burns in the top of the ninth, which put the Fighting Dachsunds in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Reyes had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Reyes told the Ellenburg Observer.
