The Boston Patriots downed the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-2, at The Voodoo Lounge. Juan Andrés Martí led the way, going 3-for-4 for Boston. Aldo Ottens got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 5.1 innings. Boston has now won 3 in a row.
Boston used the clutch hitting of Alfredo Araújo to capture the win. The catcher drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to give the Patriots the lead, 3-0. For the game, Araújo had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Martí.
