Dogfish Head Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
The Milton Dogfish Head topped the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 6-1, in M3L Triple A action at KC Reserve Stadium. The player of the game was Milton pitcher Albert Sierra. Sierra, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. The win leaves Milton with a record of 2-3.
In the bottom of the seventh, Eduardo Cruz stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Reserves were trailing 4-1, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Ricky O'Toole made a terrific pitch and Cruz lined out. Gone was the dream of a Athletic Club KC comeback.
