Flyers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Austin, 7-6

Pennsauken Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Pennsauken Flyers and the Austin Black Mambas.
The Pennsauken Flyers beat the Austin Black Mambas, 7-6, at Pennsauken Park. The Flyers got a fine performance from third baseman Bras Castanheta, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Flyers, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
Had Alan Hubbard not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Hubbard hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Flyers.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Willis Crawford.
